Eamonn Holmes hits back at viewer who said he looks 'bored' on 'This Morning'
Eamonn Holmes has hit back after a viewer said he looked “bored” on This Morning and complained about his light-hearted bickering with wife and co-host Ruth Langsford.
The husband and wife duo used to co-present the ITV morning programme every Friday, but they were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary earlier this year and now just fill in for holidays.
When a petition calling for the pair to be reinstated started circulating on social media, a viewer named Primula Bond tweeted: “God no.”

Bond, who is an author, then explained: “I am uncomfortable with their bickering and he always looks so bored during fashion and other 'lighter' segments.”

Holmes wasn’t taking it lying down and piped up: “Uncomfortable and boring ... u sure that wasn't one of your book reviews?
“We might have a lot in common.”

“Ouch,” Bond replied.
"Touché indeed. That will teach me for being mean. Sorry @EamonnHolmes,” she went on, and Holmes responded with prayer, smiling and clinking glasses emojis.
Hammond and O'Leary took over from Langsford and Holmes on This Morning in January and many people have said they miss the old hosts.

“Please bring Eamonn and Ruth back. Not enjoying this and always look forward to my time off on Friday mornings usually,” said one person.
Another pleaded: “Bring back Eamonn & Ruth.
"I miss their petty bickering on a Friday.”
