Dwayne Johnson called out by fans for 'strange' fast food claim

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was left a little red-faced on Instagram after claiming to have never been to In-N-Out Burger.

Recently posting a clip for his 395 million followers, the wrestler-turned-actor could be seen pulling up to the American fast food chain looking to bag himself a "first-ever" taste of its greasy offerings.

In the caption, which has since been edited, Johnson originally wrote: "Rolled up in my pick up and tried to be cool af with my order. But I didn't know the lingo, didn't know who to pay, where to pay, didn't know s*** But I'm a quick study. Loved everyone's positive vibes and their 'holy s*** it's the rock' energy. LOVED the grub. And love how everyone in the drive-thru looked at me like I have three heads when I give them a tip.

"Thank you In and Out for being awesome and I'll see ya down the road."

Seemingly unbeknownst to him, though, the hulking Fast & Furious star had visited In-N-Out twice before and even uploaded the evidence onto social media.

Johnson penned in August 2022: "A #cheatmealsunday for the history books! A solid start with a bite of good fries as we know s***** fries can ruin the whole experience. Pared the main course with a (quite delicious) combo pour of @Teremana Blanco & @Teremana Reposado. This cheeseburger connoisseur will now add In & Out to 'the list.'"

Five years prior, he snapped a selfie with some staff members, boasting: "I've never been to In-N-Out before (I know, what an a******), but when my lovely ladies @laurenhashianofficial & @simonegjohnson wanted late night grub, I happily obliged and pulled in the drive thru."

In the comment section of his latest video, Johnson's fans were eager to point out this glaring error.

"Dwayne, Dwayne, Dwayne: in August last year you also claimed it was your 'first time ever eating' at In-N-Out Burger – and it's all very findable as evidence on social media" and "What a strange lie to tell. Especially when his previous visit to In N Out was immortalised on social media. Like what was his goal here?" read two messages.

"This is not the first time you've been to In-N-Out Mr Dwayne Johnson..." added a third individual.

Ever a man of the people, he then switched his opening line to: "My first ever @innout burger experience — AGAIN (thanks to the fans who reminded me that I went to In and Out years ago and totally forgot about it)," alongside loads of amused emojis.
