Charlotte Dawson recreates baby photo of dad Les and reveals heartbreak of him not meeting his grandson

Charlotte Dawson has recreated a photo of her late dad Les cradling her as a baby with her own child, and shared an emotional message about him not meeting her son.

Former Celebs Go Dating star Dawson, who lost her comedian father when she was just a year old, mocked up the treasured photo with her son Noah, even wearing her dad's dressing gown.

Posting the photo on Instagram, she wrote: "So I’ve wanted to reenact this picture for so long of baba me & my daddy with me & my Noah in my dads dressing gown which I still wear.

"I wish he was here so bad. He would be the best grandad to him, it breaks my heart so much...but I can’t wait for Noah to get to know all about his grandad les...

"I know your around, but sometimes that just doesn’t cut it. I want you here."

Dawson's followers commented on the post to say how moving they found it and to reassure her that her dad would have been proud of her.

Former Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye wrote: "He’s right by your side, every step of the way."

Someone else wrote: "He is looking down on you! I’m not spiritual in any sense, but the way Noah smiles, the way you smile, you can just tell, he is here, he is with you! xx"

Another person added: "Oh my word, your dad's double, lovely to see."

Noah is Dawson's first child with fiance Matthew Sarsfield and was born in January this year.

The reality star has shared honest and funny photos of her life as a new mum, including breastfeeding Noah while having her hair and make-up done, and doing a fashion show of new outfits as she embraces her post-partum stomach.
