Whether you want to get the festive decorations up early or you simply don't want to spend another December vacuuming up pine needles, artificial Christmas trees are becoming an increasingly appealing choice.

In the past, the branches of faux Christmas trees may have looked more like tinsel than pine needles, but the designs have come a long way and now you'd often be hard pushed to tell the difference between fake and real trees.

If the rustic log cabin look is your thing, fake trees can also be bought with a smattering of 'snow' adorning their branches, and many come 'pre-lit' with integrated LED light bulbs, making our most dreaded pre-Christmas chore - untangling the fairy lights – a thing of the past.

Plus, they fold up small, so you won't have to struggle home with a 7ft spruce over your shoulder.

You can get small tress for under £10, while prices for 7ft trees range from around £40 to over £500, but even those with a larger initial outlay often work out cheaper than buying real trees in the long run, as they'll last for years.

We've scoured the online shops to find the best artificial trees you can have delivered to your door this year.
