What did you miss?

An unimpressed graphic designer has become the unlikely star of the latest episode of The Apprentice after viewers were left in hysterics by him side eying ideas for a vegan cheese brand.

The Apprentice candidates were tasked with creating a new vegan cheese product as they battled to make it into next week's interview round. But while Foluso Falade had a huge task to take on all of her team's branding and marketing alone, the graphic designer who had to work with her had an even tougher job.

Despite not speaking during the episode, he stole the show as his distaste for the vegan cheese brand Big Softie was written all over his face.

What, how, and why?

Lord Sugar might have set his candidates some outlandish product design tasks over the years, but spare a thought for the graphic designers who have the challenge of working with the TV stars and their frequent changes of heart over branding.

Foluso Falade and Steve Darken were the fired contestants in this week's task to create a vegan cheese product, but it was their graphic designer who stole the show as he couldn't hide his true feelings on their design choices.

Falade was given a difficult task to take on all of the branding and marketing for her team's product, a curry-flavoured cheese alternative called Big Softie, and the designer she was given to work with looked stunned at some of her choices for the packaging and product name.

As he followed her instructions for the design, the man gave a series of incredulous looks, even making eye contact with the camera at one point as Falade rattled through a chaotic series of decisions.

One viewer noted on X: "Graphic designer man cannot be doing with Foluso & her ideas," as someone else wrote: "Best graphic designer facial expressions ever," and another viewer added: "The graphic designer has me cracking up."

Another person commented: "obsessed with that graphic designer judging every idea she has," with someone else adding: "absolutely creasing at this man’s reactions. i hope he had a GREAT day."

Many of the show's viewers pointed out the same thing as one person commented: "I’m crying the designer side eyeing like crazy," and someone else added: "That graphic designer really wanted to tell her the design and name is bad, major side eye." Another viewer wrote: "designer SIDE EYEING HEAVY."

After his hard work, the designer looked unimpressed as Falade commented: "It doesn't look okay."

One viewer wrote: "The Graphic Designer’s reactions to Foluso’s requests had me."

Eventually, Falade became the first candidate of the evening to be fired as Lord Sugar told her he hadn't liked any of her branding decisions and that the packaging had gone down badly with the supermarkets it was pitched to.

What else happened on The Apprentice?

Although the Scrumptious Spreads team won the task, they still had their fair share of cringeworthy moments thanks to a cheesy social media video.

Tre Lowe convinced Flo Edwards to have a go at performing a rap about their cheese spread, which she looked very uncomfortable about.

As the rest of the team questioned what they were thinking, Lowe told them: "It rhymes, so if kids learn the words they can rap it themselves."

One viewer commented: "Tre be for real why would a kid want to rap a cheese ad for fun," while someone else added: "No kid wants to rap about vegan cheese Tre."

The Apprentice airs on BBC One at 9pm on Thursdays.
