Anna Richardson eyes 'Strictly' spot and wants 'handsome' partner

Anna Richardson has revealed she is keen to do Strictly Come Dancing and wants a 'handsome' partner.

The presenter’s name is thought to be in the mix for the 2021 series of the BBC ballroom show.

And the Naked Attraction star told The Sun she’s keen on hitting the dancefloor.

Richardson, who has reportedly split from her former partner Sue Perkins, said she has turned down other reality television shows in the past.

“I think Strictly is a whole is a different ball game because you’re learning, you’re doing a skill and I think that would be an ­incredible opportunity,” she said.

“I’m A Celebrity, Dancing On Ice, anything that involves getting injured or ­ritual humiliation, I’m just too old. I’m just not a fan of it. But Strictly would be an opportunity.”

Richardson, 50, said being paired with somebody like Strictly pro Gorka Marquez would be “amazing”.

“You want someone you can have a really good laugh with and who is handsome,” she added.

The star is thought to be newly single following reports last month that she and former Bake Off host Perkins had gone their separate ways.

The pair had been dating since 2014 after meeting at a Halloween party.

A source told The Sun: “It’s really sad. Both Anna and Sue are devastated.

“We’re all hoping they can patch things up and sort out their differences but for now it appears to be all over.”
