Amazon saved us on numerous occasions over the last year of lockdowns and re-openings, whenever we needed impromptu home schooling supplies, bread makers or a Prime subscription for when we'd worked our way through everything that Netflix had to offer.

So, we were eager to learn the details of Amazon Prime Day 2021.

If you haven’t yet heard about this major event in a shopping lover’s calendar, then let us enlighten you.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day is an annual sale across Amazon that features a selection of spotlight deals running for either 24 hours or 48 hours.

Plus, shorter flash sales that may only last for a few hours.

Discounts are available across products in a variety of departments, including home, fashion, beauty and tech.

In fact, Amazon Prime Day 2021 will consist of more than two million deals worldwide and will occur in 20 countries, including the UK, US, Australia and China.

In short, it’s an opportunity stock up on all the essentials - and non-essentials - you’ve been umming and ahhing over all year.

When is Prime Day 2021?

Amazon Prime Day 2021 actually runs for two days - confusing, we know, but great news if you’re in the market for a discount.

The official Amazon Prime Day dates are 21 and 22 June, with most Prime Day deals going live on the first day, (although there are several pre-Prime Day sales that will begin ahead of time).

How to shop Amazon Prime Day

Prime Day is – as you've probably guessed from the name – a perk for Amazon Prime members only.

An Amazon Prime subscription costs £7.99 per month, or £79 per year, for UK customers. However, you can also sign up for a free 30-day trial if you just want to make the most of the Prime Day deals.

A Prime membership doesn’t just entitle you to great discounts. Membership comes with free delivery on items ordered via Amazon, access to Prime Video, unlimited music streaming and Prime Reading, which features a regularly-rotating selection of books and magazines.

How to get £10 credit to spend on Prime Day

Prime members who spend £10 on products sold by UK small businesses in Amazon’s online store between Monday 7 June through to Sunday 20 June will earn £10 credit to use on Prime Day.

This year there are more than 300,000 sellers globally who are eligible for the promotion.

Customers can shop tens of thousands of eligible products from small businesses, across home, beauty electronics and more, including products from Amazon Handmade and Amazon Launchpad.
