Pastry chefs begin to battle it out in new a series of Bake Off: The Professionals tonight as they whip up some mouth-watering confections.

While the weather at the moment may not be reflective of the season, nature lovers will be pleased to learn Springwatch is back too.

Elsewhere, shows such as The Money Maker and Hospital continue.

A new horde of chefs are welcomed into the kitchen as they aim to be named the best patisserie team in Britain.

They must create 24 items of two miniature classics, the Tarte Piémontaise and the Jaffa Cake.

Experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden are back to judge alongside returning presenters Tom Allen and Liam Charles.

This episode explores Coventry University Hospital's busy maternity unit as lockdown has lead to a baby boom.

The unit also holds a specialist Tommy’s National Centre for Miscarriage Research, which is one of only four in the UK.

One in four women estimated to experience at least one miscarriage and there is currently no known cause found in half of all miscarriages, but consultant obstetrician Professor Siobhan Quenby wants to change things.

The programme looks at the rollout of penicillin following Alexander Fleming's famous discovery as well as how rational drug design in the 1980s led to the development of antiviral drugs from treating HIV.
