Jamie Foxx's sister dies aged 36: 'My heart is shattered into a million pieces'

Jamie Foxx's younger sister, DeOndra Dixon, has died at age 36. The Oscar-winning actor shared the sad news on social media, writing the "pain is unbelievable."

"My heart is shattered into a million pieces... my beautiful loving sister Deondra has transitioned," Foxx said on Monday. "I say transitioned because she will always be alive... anyone who knew my sis... knew that she was a bright light..."

Foxx posted a series of photos of Dixon, who was born with Down syndrome. She was named an Ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation in 2011, revealing on the foundation's website she wanted to be a professional dancer. Those moves came in handy when she starred in her brother's music video for "Blame It," a memory the actor recalled in his heartbreaking tribute.
