Divulging that he had been gardening, he added: "Oh, and on top of that I had a baby. So there you go."

"It's really wonderful," he went on. "Again, we feel pretty blessed that we were in a time where we could, as a family, you know, we can just nest and enjoy each other's company every day as it came. It was an unusual but a kind of enforced love-in."

Law didn't state whether they had welcomed a boy or a girl, or give the tot's name.

He and Coan wed in a lowkey ceremony last year at Old Marylebone Town Hall. His first marriage to Frost lasted for six years between 1997 and 2003.

His elder children Rafferty and Iris are following his footsteps into the limelight as they have both turned their hand to modelling.

Rafferty has also delved into acting and is set to star as Oliver Twist in upcoming film Twist, a modern retelling of the Dickens classic which also features Michael Caine as Fagin and Rita Ora as the Artful Dodger.
