The Inbetweeners star James Buckley has reportedly earned a whopping £100,000 during lockdown - making personalised videos for his fans.

Buckley, who played foul-mouthed Jay Cartwright on the hugely popular Channel 4 sitcom, has had to adapt to keep the money rolling in during the coronavirus lockdown.

And diversifying his income streams by setting up an account on personalised celeb videos website Cameo appears to be a winner.

The site has a host of celebrities offering fans the opportunity to receive a personalised clip from their favourite stars for a fee.

Buckley currently charges £41.50 per clip, and according to The Sunday Times, has made over 3,500 videos, earning a pretty penny in the process.

The videos are delivered in Jay's typically crude fashion, complete with some of his most famous lines.

Talking about his decision to move into the personalised video world, Buckley is completely honest in admitting he's in it for the cash.

He said: "Now, I get asked a load of times to do video messages for people, and I could never be bothered to do it until I found out that there was a way that I could do it for money.

"So if you want me to congratulate your brother's birthday or maybe hurl some abuse at a friend of yours who's getting married or something like that – I can do that all for you now, for a fee.

"Again, here for the money."

Like many industries, show business has almost ground to a complete holt, meaning many famous faces are turning to Cameo to keep the money flowing.

Actor Charlie Sheen will send you a personalised video for just under £300, while Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn will call you Hodor for £82.

Caitlyn Jenner will also send you a video message for a huge £2,075 per video. Though quite expensive, it is for a good cause, with proceeds going to her charity the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation.
