In a rare interview undertaken out-of-character, Francis told The Sun: "I project this sexual beast on Celebrity Juice and they think they are allowed to come up to you when you are having your dinner and touch you where they shouldn't.

"People say naughty and inappropriate things to me all the time. When I am with friends they are surprised and go, 'How dare they come up to you and say that'."

The comedian added: "I suppose it's my fault because of Celebrity Juice but I am playing that with friends and I know how far I can go."

Francis has found the harassment worse at corporate events he works as "they all get drunk". It was so bad at such functions he now will no longer do corporate gigs to earn extra money.

The married star also told of being at a Matt Goss gig and getting grabbed by "lots of ladies" who said "very sexual things to me about my penis and stuff".

The interview also saw dad-of-two say he considered quitting Celebrity Juice after team captain and friend Holly Willoughby revealed she was calling time on her stint on the popular quiz show.

Francis described himself as "gutted" at the news, saying Willoughby was like a "TV sister" to him.
