Rebekah Vardy says she was hospitalised 3 times after Coleen Rooney spat as her health suffered

Rebekah Vardy appeared on Loose Women today to discuss the aftermath of her very public dispute with Coleen Rooney which she says affected her health and left her in hospital due to the subsequent trolling.

Speaking in her first TV interview since the 'Wagatha Christie' debacle, the 37-year-old explained she couldn't "say too much" as she is current in a "legal battle" with Rooney.

Addressing how she felt in the fall-out, she explained: “It was really really hard. It is probably up there with one of the worst things that I have had to deal with apart from being abused when I was younger.”

The mother-of-five was in Dubai when Rooney published the Instagram post that alleged information only visible to Vardy's account had made its way into the tabloid press.

She was first told about the allegations, which she vehemently denies, by her manager.

“The trolling was the worst part for me. I have been trolled before and I do get it all the time, but it escalated off the back of this,” she told the panelists.

“I ended up with severe anxiety attacks. I ended up in hospital three times. I ended up with kidney stones. I felt like I couldn’t go out with people just looking at me just questioning.. whether.. did she do it? Did she not do it?"

She also told the Loose Women how her husband, footballer Jamie Vardy, "struggled" to see her upset due to the amount of trolling she received.

Seven months pregnant when Rooney first made the post, Vardy has since given birth to her fifth child.

Daughter Olivia is the third child she shares with her husband, having two older children from a previous relationship.
