Fans think Harry Styles has come out as bisexual in his new music video Lights Up

Harry Styles just released music for the first time in two years, coupled with a steamy, buzz-inciting music video.

The new song, entitled Lights Up, is the first single off his highly-anticipated album and the track marks a distinct departure from the straightforward rock 'n' roll sound of his last album.

What's being discussed more than the sound of Lights Up, however, are the lyrics, the timing of the release, and the sensuality of the music video. Styles has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community for some time now, and even helped a fan come out at one of his concerts. He also once declined to label his sexuality in a past interview, saying, "No, I've never felt the need to really. No. I don't feel like it's something I've ever felt like I have to explain about myself." While touring his first album, he often performed a song called "Medicine," which many of his fans interpreted as a bisexual anthem (key lyrics read: "The boys and girls are here, I mess around a bit, and I'm okay with it").

Given all of this, the fact that Styles dropped his new single on National Coming Out Day is not going unnoticed. The music video has also made quite a splash, as it features a shirtless Harry getting comfortable with a bunch of other nearly-nude men and women in a large huddle. The rocker croons, "Do you know who you are?" over footage of the oiled-up group caressing one another. Naturally, Twitter has thoughts on all of this:
