Anneka Rice sparked a frenzy during her appearance on This Morning when she questioned whether her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton was aroused.

The pair were on the show to talk about their first performance of the BBC series.

However, the conversation took a completely different turn when Rice interrupted the conversation with the This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and Clifton to ask him about the hard object she felt through his trousers.

“What’s that?!”, she exclaimed much to the shock and humour of everyone in the studio.

Insisting that nothing untoward was happening, Clifton quickly replied by reassuring her that it was just his phone.

Unable to hide their reaction, both Schofield and Willoughby threw their heads back laughing before Schofield made a joke about the Strictly curse striking already.

“We didn’t expect that this morning!” Clifton remarked as the presenters tried to regain their composure.

Viewers were quick to share their views on what they had just seen on screen.

“Brilliant...Just what we need in these times of doom and gloom.. keep the laughs coming,” wrote one.

Another commented: “Omg! Nearly choked on my popcorn laughing at that!”

During the interview, Rice admitted that she had been asked to appear on the show many times in the past but had turned it down due to personal commitments.

However, she explained that this year was different because she was on a ‘gap year’ after her son left home to attend university and her other son got engaged.

Meanwhile, Clifton explained the different approach he has had to take to teach his partner the routines.

”We’re literally starting right from scratch,” he said before he added: “What I’ve found is, she has a really analytical brain.

“If I talk about the angles and tiny details, she gets excited and it all starts to make sense mathematically.”
