Jeremy Clarkson has suffered his fair share of fallouts during his career, but he seems to have made a new enemy in a flock of seagulls.

The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host shared a picture on Instagram of the birds making a meal of his farm crops in huge numbers, joking: “I’ve decided to plant seagulls this year.”

Former Top Gear star Clarkson then posted a video appearing to be the view from a tractor driving through his fields in a bid to scare them away, captioned: “S**t. My crops are escaping.”

The nuisance birds are causing all sorts of problems for the TV star, who is in the process of making a new Amazon Prime show called I Bought a Farm that chronicles his efforts in the world of farming.

He lives on a farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, where he grows wheat, barley, and oilseed rape, and has recently added a flock of sheep.

Talking about the show, due to air in 2020, to The Sunday Times, he said: “This is not Kate Humble - much as I like Kate Humble - with 20 acres, bottle-feeding a lamb.

“Or a TV presenter who grows veg in his back garden. This is actual farming. Life, death and form filling.

“We’re not making Countryfile. We’ll be showing it warts and all.

“For example, I have no view on badger culling in terms of whether it’s necessary, but if it’s happening, we will not shy away from putting it in the programme.”

Clarkson began working with Amazon Prime for his series The Grand Tour with former Top Gear co-stars James May and Richard Hammond in 2016.

They took on the new project after Clarkson’s fracas with a Top Gear producer forced him to leave the BBC show after 13 years as the face of the show.
