Scarlett Moffatt has become the centre of a social media storm after it was alleged she requested free clothing from an online store and then blocked them.

The Gogglebox star has been accused of taking advantage after asking for a custom-made skirt worth £150 in return for promotion on her Instagram account, which has 2million followers.

MySuitcase Boutique alleges that Moffatt, 28, failed to deliver on her promise of online promotion, and when they tried to contact her she blocked their account.

After the Mail Online reported the claims Moffatt came under fire from Twitter users - resulting in her deleting her account.

It has been claimed the former I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner approached MySuitcase Boutique on Instagram on May 31st to ask for a customised version of their signature TULLE skirt with crystal stars, to wear for the first ever Virgin Atlantic Pride flight to New York on June 28th, in return for “lots of posts.”

Owner of the online store Michaela Liu, 27, claimed she sent a bespoke pink version of the skirt to Moffatt which was delivered on June 21st but Moffatt did not wear it to the even and has failed to share any pictures of herself wearing it online.

It is also alleged she has ignored multiple messages from Liu.

When the MailOnline first reported the story Moffatt finally responded, only to swiftly delete the four messages and BLOCK the boutique on Instagram.

Liu said: “I didn't want to read the messages because it was close to midnight and I wanted to be in the right frame of mind to reply.

“And then, when I looked on Tuesday morning, the messages were gone, so I messaged her asking why they were no longer visible. And that's when I realised she'd blocked me.”

Stars who have been seen wearing versions of the skirt include former Love Island contestant Olivia Buckland.
