Amanda Holden has publicly reignited her feud with television presenter Phillip Schofield, comparing him to a household pest on live radio.

The Britain's Got Talent judge - who kicked off a new breakfast segment with Jamie Theakston on Heart FM earlier this week - was taking part in a quick-fire quiz with her co-host when she was asked what she wouldn't want to find inside her home.

"Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield," she joked, as she scrunched up her nose in mock disgust.

According to several reports, Holden and Schofield first clashed back in October 2018, when the former allegedly believed that the latter got her replaced on This Morning.

"Amanda was so excited when she learnt she had secured the role," a source told The Sun at the time. "She is ITV's golden girl and has always been a firm favourite.

"She's an experienced co-host and has filled in on the sofa on many occasions, including alongside Phil. So she was shocked when she was taken out to lunch by ITV executives who told her that unfortunately they couldn't follow through with the offer.

They went on to detail that during the lunch, the bosses "let slip that the decision had been heavily influenced by Phil and that he had thrown a spanner in the works."

Holden used to stand-in for Holly Willoughby frequently on ITV daytime show 'This Morning'

Holden, 48, had assumed that she would stand-in for Schofield's regular partner Holly Willoughby while she was off presenting I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here with Ant McPartlin. But former The Saturdays member Rochelle Humes, 29, landed the gig instead.

Shortly after ITV told her that they wouldn't be requiring her assistance in Willougby's absence, Holden appeared on the show to discuss her charity work with Tommy's, an organisation that funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

There, she supposedly took the opportunity to confront Schofield about the rumours.

"She made it clear that she felt very let down," a source told the same publication. "He was lost for words but didn't have much time to respond to Amanda's claims because the show was going back on air."
