Dannii Minogue and fellow judge Sharon Osborne famously did not get on while working on The X Factor back in 2007 - and Minogue has just reignited their feud.

Speaking on Australian TV show, Anh’s Brush with Fame, the former soap star said, “She didn’t like me, she made it very clear.”

The Australian singer added: “I think [Sharon’s dislike of me] was something to do with me being an “annoying mosquito and I should be squashed”. It was a lot more graphic than “I don’t like you”. I still don’t really know why.”

The first three series of The X Factor had three judges: Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. Minogue was added to the panel in 2007.

“There were three judges and the show was running beautifully without adding a fourth one,” Minogue said on the Australian TV show. “Maybe she personally wasn’t ready for it.”

Minogue left the show in 2010 and was then replaced on the judging panel by Cheryl Tweedy.

In her 2010 memoir, My Story, Minogue wrote about the dysfunctional relationship:

“Sharon seemed convinced that I was telling various magazines that I was younger and prettier than she was. Naively, I believed that it was a storm in a teacup.”

Minogue claims that the situation escalated, leading to Osborne berating her backstage, twenty minutes before the start of a live show.

“My palms were clammy and my chest was tight as I sat there in disbelief listening to Sharon sound off. Terry left the room and then reappeared with Claire Horton and one of the other producers who both tried to calm down Sharon.

“'This is not the time or place for this - 20 minutes before we go on air, Sharon,' Claire said firmly. 'Let's talk about this later, shall we?'

“But Sharon wouldn't leave, and finally, with about ten minutes to go before the broadcast started, the show's producers had to remove her from my dressing room, still ranting as she went.”

Osborne is yet to respond to Minogue’s comments.
