Move over Christian Bale… there’s a new guy in town.

Russell Crowe has stunned all with his transformation into the late Roger Ailes, the head of Fox News who ended his career mired in accusations of sexual harassment.

Ailes, who was also a media consultant to presidents including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, was ousted in 2016 following multiple allegations of sexual impropriety while working at Fox, including accusations by former news anchors Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson.

He died just months later, three days after his 77th birthday.

The series, called The Loudest Voice In The Room, will be based on journalist Gabriel Sherman’s best-selling book of the same name, and will be aired on Showtime.

It was made up of Sherman’s extensive reporting on Ailes for New York magazine.

Starring alongside Crowe will be Naomi Watts as Carlson, Seth MacFarlane as Fox exec Brian Lewis, Sienna Miller as Ailes’ wife Beth, Simon McBurney as Rupert Murdoch.

The series will be going up against another project about Ailes. Lionsgate is producing a movie with The Crown‘s John Lithgow playing Ailes, penned by Meet The Parents and Trumbo scribe Jay Roach, and starring Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson.
