Gemma Collins set to join 'Good Morning Britain'

Piers Morgan has made it very clear, he’s a huge fan of Gemma Collins. Ardently defending her against Dancing on Ice’s judge Jason Gardiner’s ‘body-shaming’ comments and even taking a selfie with Collins at the NTAs, he’s absolutely on team GC.

And now he’s taken his adoration for the TOWIE star one major step further, as she is set to join the Good Morning Britain.

The ITV morning news show announced that as of next week Collins with join the team as a guest entertainment editor. Under the guidance of the show’s resident entertainment expert Richard Arnold, Collins will be dishing out her thoughts on the latest celebrity and showbiz gossip.

On Thursday’s GMB the voiceover announced: “After her spectacular fall Piers made his feelings quite clear. Don’t miss her calling the shots as guest entertainment editor. Gemma Collins, Monday from six on Good Morning Britain.”

Indeed Morgan praised Collins for her determination after getting back up after her painful fall on Sunday’s Dancing on Ice. “It took balls to get back up,” Morgan told his viewers.

A source told The Sun that GMB was thrilled to have Collins on board.

“We’re really excited to have Gemma Collins joining the team for the day. It’s certainly going to be a lively morning. With Piers, Richard and the GC live in the studio, anything could happen,” the source said.

Collins has been the stand-out star from this year’s Dancing on Ice. She gave an epic debut routine with dance partner Matt Evers to the tune of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’ – which included doing the splits.

And the following week she got into a shocking spat with judge Jason Gardiner. After Gardiner slated her performance, Collins told him to ‘stop selling stories’ about her and to ‘shut up.’

Her last performance included her unfortunate fall, which saw her lose her balance and fall flat on her face at the very end of her routine.

Dancing on Ice continues on ITV on Sunday at 6pm.
