Donald Trump nominated for 'worst actor' Golden Raspberries award - for playing himself
Donald Trump has been nominated for a gong at a Hollywood awards ceremony.
But it's probably not one he'd want on his mantelpiece.
And it's not the first time. Back in 1991 he won worst supporting actor at the 'Razzies' for his role in Ghosts Can't Do It.
This year's nominations are for archival footage as himself in Dinesh D'Souza's Death of a Nationand Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 11/9.
Fellow nominees include Johnny Depp forSherlock Gnomes, Will Ferrell forHolmes & Watson, John Travolta forGotti and Bruce Willis forDeath Wish.
The US leader is also up for worst screen combo for himself and "his self-perpetuating pettiness" inDeath of a NationandFahrenheit 11/9.
First Lady Melania Trump is up for worst supporting actress in Fahrenheit 11/9 and his adviser, Kellyanne Conway is also nominated in that category for the same film.
The first Golden Raspberry Awards ceremony — created by John J. B. Wilson and Mo Murphy — was held on March 31, 1981. This year's ceremony will be held Feb. 23.
There are 1,047 voting members 24 countries.
