Friendly seal tries to climb aboard kayak

This playful seal wanted to join a kayaker for a paddle - and wasn't taking no for an answer.

The video, filmed off the coast of South Cornwall on October 5, shows the friendly animal sticking its head above water and looking inquisitively at the kayak before trying to climb aboard.

The filmer said: "It swam up to each member of the group in turn and then tried to climb onto my lap!"
