Former ITV boss Adam Crozier joins musical producer Stage Entertainment

Updated

The former boss of ITV has stepped back into the spotlight after being confirmed as the new chairman of theatre owner and musical producer Stage Entertainment.

Adam Crozier took over as chairman of Stage Entertainment's supervisory board from Just Spee on November 1.

It comes after he left the ITV chief executive position at the end of June after a seven-year stint where he was widely credited with turning around the broadcaster's fortunes.

Mr Crozier said: "I am delighted to be appointed to chair the Stage Entertainment supervisory board at this exciting time in the company's development.

"I look forward to working closely with Arthur and the rest of the management team to help accelerate the company's international and commercial development over the coming years."

When he announced he was leaving the broadcaster earlier this year, Mr Crozier said he planned to "build a portfolio of roles" across the private sector.

He was previously in charge of advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, the Football Association and the Royal Mail Group, before taking the top position at ITV in April 2010.

He also serves as a non-executive director on the boards of both Vue Cinemas and Whitbread.

Mr Spee added: "Mr Crozier's appointment is a great opportunity for Stage Entertainment to pursue its international growth ambitions under a Dutch CEO and a British Chairman."
