Gemma Atkinson unveiled as latest Strictly Come Dancing contestant

Actress and model Gemma Atkinson has been unveiled as the latest Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress is the fourth star confirmed to be appearing in the 15th series this autumn.

The 32-year-old told BBC Breakfast: "Learning to dance is so out of my comfort zone - so I just want to challenge myself.

"I'm beyond excited and incredibly nervous, but looking forward to learning a new skill."

Alongside Atkinson will be pop star Mollie King, EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami and TV presenter Ruth Langsford.

The new series returns to BBC One in September.
