Michelle Dockery is returning to the National Theatre in a new production of Network.

The Downton Abbey star will play TV executive Diana Christensen in the stage adaptation of the 1976 Paddy Chayefsky film, it was was announced on Wednesday.

Dockery, best known for playing Lady Mary Crawley, will join American actor Bryan Cranston in the play, which opens in London this November.

The new production is adapted by Lee Hall and directed by Ivo van Hove.
