Wonder Woman sequel is confirmed after huge success

This summer's blockbuster Wonder Woman will be followed up with a sequel.

Movie bosses confirmed that Wonder Woman II was in the works at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

News of the sequel was expected following the huge success of the film, which stars Israeli actress Gal Gadot as the Amazon princess-turned-superhero.

The film wowed critics and has taken $385 million in the US and $770 million worldwide since debuting in cinemas last month.
