'I felt terrible': Charlize Theron once punched Teri Hatcher in the face

Charlize Theron has admitted she once hurt former co-star Teri Hatcher while filming.

The Oscar winner revealed she accidentally punched the Desperate Housewives actress in the face during a fight scene for 1996 film 2 Days In The Valley.

At the time, Teri was the bigger star as she was in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman, while Charlize was a young struggling actress.

The South African told W magazine: "Back then I didn't know how to hone in my energy and I was knocking over lights. I had no concept of a set.

"I connected right with Teri Hatcher's face. I felt terrible about it. I had no money and sent her some cheap beer the next day. Sorry, Teri."
