Gogglebox's much-loved Sandi is getting into the festive spirit as she gets ready to release her own festive charity single, just hours before this year's Christmas number one is announced.
Slipping a very last-minute entry into the charts race, her rendition of the crooning classic, Bing Crosby's White Christmas, with 15-year-old musician Jack Rose is just one of the projects that has turned her attention away from the Channel 4 show.
While news of her latest track might come as an early Christmas present for her biggest fans, her blossoming music career has torn her away from best friend Sandra's side on the popular programme.
Revealing that the charity track is a step forward for her hopeful music career, her publicist said: "Sandi really enjoys being part of Gogglebox and would love to be involved again in the future.
"She has taken time out to pursue other interesting projects including her singing career where she has recently recorded a rendition of Bing Crosby's White Christmas, raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital."
Viewers on Friday were confused and horrified to find her missing from Sandra's side on the couch, replaced instead by her daughter, Chanchez.
Channel 4 have since confirmed that Sandi has officially left the show - for now at least - with Chanchez set to take her spot for the next series.
A spokesman said: "We are delighted that Sandra's daughter Chanchez is to join the show next series. She's a great addition to the cast.
"Sandi has decided to leave the show to pursue her singing career and other opportunities and we wish her all the very best."
