Clean Bandit, Rag 'n' Bone Man and Little Mix lead Christmas number one race

The battle for Christmas number one has taken a turn, with Clean Bandit, Rag'n'Bone Man and Little Mix now leading the race for the top spot.

Standing strong in third place at the end of last week, it seems that X Factor winner Matt Terry's festive single may have been knocked out of the running in the last days before the winner is revealed.

His track, When Christmas Comes Around, with Simon Cowell's label Syco Music, is now at number five, following another X Factor veteran, Louis Tomlinson's collaboration with Steve Aoki, Just Hold On.

Currently unmoved at number one, Clean Bandit is leading the way with Rockabye, but Rag'n'Bone Man's Human is less than 4,000 sales behind.

Little Mix's Touch, another Syco Music product, is holding third place after rocketing 20 places in less than a week.

Old festive favourites have also returned to the top 20, with Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You at number seven, followed by The Pogues ft Kirsty MacColl's Fairytale Of New York at 15 and Wham's Last Christmas at 16.

For people looking for a last-minute musical Christmas gift, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe's duet Together is still holding the top spot in the album charts, now certified Platinum after selling more than 300,000 copies.

The Wonder Of You, a reworking of Elvis Presley hits with the Philharmonic Orchestra, is currently second, while Little Mix claims another number three position with Glory Days.

Rolling Stones' Blue And Lonesome follows at number four, with Olly Murs's 24 Hrs at number five.
