Charlize Theron is set to make her Fast and Furious debut in the forthcoming eighth film in the high-octane franchise, officially titled The Fate of the Furious.
The Oscar-winner is joining the likes of Fast and Furious stalwarts Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris and Jason Statham, who joined the fray in the sixth and seventh movies.
Kurt Russell also makes a return after appearing in Furious 7.
The film marks the first release without Paul Walker as Brian O'Connor, following the actor's death in November 2013.
This new outing looks far less about the street racing, heists and stunning cars on which the series was originally based, instead focusing on a criminal plot with Charlize's character, Cipher, at the helm.
As things are starting to settle down for the group following Dom (Vin) and Letty's (Michelle) honeymoon, the mysterious Cipher seduces Dom into the criminal underbelly to work against his allies.
It's a film about betrayal and trying to conquer divides in the family plus, of course, fabulous cars and action scenes, with one particularly intense moment out on some ice sheets.
There also looks set to be a big prison-based showdown between Luke (Dwayne) and Deckard (Jason) in the globe-trotting film, which is set in New York City, Cuba and on the icy plains off the Arctic Barents Sea.
Fans will have to wait until April 14 2017 to see The Fate of the Furious in UK cinemas.
