Music star Shakira has reassured fans that her youngest son is back to "his cheerful self" after recovering from illness.
The Hips Don't Lie singer announced last week that she was pulling out of the Latin Grammys and the American Music Awards for "personal reasons".
In a message posted on social media, Shakira confirmed her one-year-old son Sasha had been ill but "everything is under control".
"Thanks for all the messages you sent for Sasha while he was sick," she wrote.
"Everything is under control now, and he's back to his cheerful self!".
The message, which was shared with Shakira's 41 million Twitter followers and 25 million Instagram subscribers, did not include any details about the nature of Sasha's illness.
Shakira, 39, has two sons - Sasha and three-year-old Milan - with Spanish footballer Gerard Pique.
