Did Lindsay Lohan just hint at a Mean Girls sequel with the original gang?

Lindsay Lohan has hinted that she'd love to do a Mean Girls sequel, 12 years after the original film was released.

The romcom star, 30, took to Instagram to post a Throwback Thursday picture of herself with Mean Girls co-stars Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert, with the caption: "Miss you all... sequel?"

And it's no surprise that Mean Girls fans went absolutely wild about it.

Some, possibly a bit too wild...

And there have even been suggestions for a title for the hypothetical movie...

Following the massive popularity of the original movie, Mean Girls 2 was released in 2011, starring Meaghan Martin and Linden Ashby. But, without the original Plastics, was it really the same?

We get what you're saying, Lindsay.

Her wave of nostalgia comes after her recent trip to Istanbul, where she visited Syrian refugees in hospital, at a refugee camp near the Syrian border and at the home of a refugee family from Aleppo.
