Ed Balls has admitted watching part of a football match ahead of filming last weekend's live episode of Strictly Come Dancing.
The former shadow chancellor, chairman of Norwich City, watched the team kick-off against Wolverhampton Wanderers on his phone while waiting to perform his dance on Saturday.
Later in the evening, while the episode was still being broadcast, he tweeted about City's win against Wolves with glee.
He said: "I got in real trouble because I was cheekily watching the game on Sky on my mobile just before we were about to go on stage.
"I should have been focusing on the dance, but I couldn't resist looking at the scores. Apparently I was seen by one of the producers and I got a ticking off."
Ed, 49, added to The Sun that the "tweeting didn't go down well either".
Despite the football distraction, Ed and his partner Katya Jones survived the first public vote to dance for another week.
In Saturday night's Movie Week themed live show, they will perform a samba to actor Jim Carrey's version of the Cuban rumba song from The Mask.
