Diddy postpones star-studded tour to recover from shoulder surgery

Sean "Diddy" Combs will be kicking off his tour later than expected after undergoing surgery for a shoulder injury.

The rapper and business mogul announced on Friday that his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour will now begin September 1 in Chicago to give him more time to recover from surgery.

The tour featuring Combs, Lil' Kim, Faith Evans, French Montana and other Bad Boy Records artists had been scheduled to kick off August 25 in Columbus, Ohio.

A spokeswoman for the Mo' Money Mo' Problems rapper says the delay will give Combs "the much needed time he needs in order to recover and give fans the incredible stage experience they have come to expect from a Puff Daddy production".

This will be the fourth time the hip hop superstar has undergone surgery on his shoulder.

He had work done on his rotator cuff back in May after the Bad Boy tour kicked off.

Diddy has been keeping fans abreast of his injury and recovery, sharing pictures of himself on his Snapchat and Instagram pages.

Along with an Instagram video, taken from his time in hospital, he wrote: "This morning I underwent rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder.

"I've been in a lot of pain for a while but I'm grateful that I was able to make it through the shows and get to this point. My arm will be in a sling for while and I may not be dancing as usual but I'm on the road to recovery!! Thank everyone for the prayers and support!!! #GodBless #love."
