As the Olympics kick off in Rio, former London 2012 Closing Ceremony performer Mel C was getting involved in her own sporting challenge.
The Spice Girl donned a wetsuit to jump into the inviting waters of the River Thames as part of the AJ Bell London Triathlon on Saturday.
Taking place across the weekend with more than 10,000 competitors, fans wouldn't have been able to pick the singer out among the crowds as she got ready to take on the swimming section of the challenge.
Starting at ExceL Exhibition Centre, Royal Victoria Dock, Mel C swam, cycled and ran along the 31-mile course, that passed London landmarks including the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Tower of London and The O2.
Luckily the sun shone down on the competitors today as they started with a jump into the chilly river - not that it appeared to put off Mel C.
Other famous faces taking part over the weekend include The Gadget Show's Jason Bradbury and former Apprentice star Michelle Dewberry.
In the lead up to the Olympics, Mel had been reliving her own involvement in 2012 - sharing snaps of her carrying the Olympic torch and performing on black cabs at the ceremony with the rest of her band.
"I have no words," she wrote alongside a fan's picture, who had called it an "iconic moment".
