Fans turned out in their droves - and clad in their finest costumes - for the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 event at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre, and they didn't disappoint in the wardrobe department.
As one of the biggest movie franchises with a whole host of characters, it's no surprise the thousands of devotees clad themselves to resemble the likes of beloved characters Han Solo, Rey, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Leia, Bazine, and, of course, Chewbacca.
There were a couple of Leias seated together during one of the panel discussions, and a very dedicated cosplay fan dressed as hairy Wookiee Chewbacca, standing several heads above everybody else.
Another notable costume was one lady dressed as human mercenary Bazin, complete with fetching black headpiece.
A less glamorous addition to the vast social media coverage, though, were the plentiful clips of the massive queues to get in.
The event, held for the biggest of fans, saw thousands stream into the popular London venue to watch original Star Wars cast member Mark Hamill discuss the forthcoming eighth film in the franchise.

During the panel, Mark - who reprised his role as Luke Skywalker in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens after appearing in the original three movies - claimed that the next in the series will have an even better catchphrase than the much-quoted "May The Force Be With You".
The first day of the weekend-long event also saw Gwendoline Christie, who plays Captain Phasma in the latest Star Wars effort, take to the stage in the panel to discuss Rogue One.
