Graham Norton quits Twitter as he's 'fallen out of love' with it

Graham Norton has left Twitter because it's "not a happy world".

The chat show host has apparently become fed up with the nastiness that can appear on the social media network.

And he said he prefers Facebook because he has genuine friends there.

According to reports, Graham said on his BBC Radio 2 show: "I prefer Facebook because I have real friends there who agree with me.

"But on Twitter, not so much.

"I have kind of fallen out of love with Twitter. It's not a happy world so I have left it."

The 53-year-old star hasn't posted a personal message on the site since June 22.

However, links to his Telegraph column are still appearing.

Graham follows in the footsteps of many celebs who have taken social media breaks, including Demi Lovato, Stephen Fry and Kerry Washington.
