Orange Is The New Black's fourth season has been greeted with praise from critics and great enthusiasm by the show's army of fans around the world.
Based on the best-selling memoir by Piper Kerman, the award-winning series stars Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman, a woman who transported drug money for her then girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepon).
Piper was given a jail sentence as a result, with the show depicting the challenges of life in Litchfield Penitentiary for the women paying their debt to society.
Season four delves into the racial and economic tensions that run rampant in Litchfield.
The highly diverse cast portraying Litchfield's inmates include Uzo Aduba as Crazy Eyes, Kate Mulgrew as Red, Taryn Manning as Pennsatucky and transgender actress Laverne Cox as transgender prisoner Sophia Burset.
Some of the cast couldn't resist taking to social media to express their joy at being part of such an acclaimed show.
Laverne, who is so convincing as Sophia, uploaded an image to her Instagram account. She wrote alongside it: "The cast is killing it this season."
