NCIS has a new cast member and he'll be playing an unstable agent with a mysterious background
Wilmer Valderrama, most recently seen on medical drama Grey's Anatomy, has joined the cast of NCIS as a series regular.
The American actor, who some TV fans may remember as Fez in Ashton Kutcher sitcom That '70s Show, will play a NCIS field agent with a mysterious background.
The agent accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and he never resurfaced. Other agents had no idea that he was alive. But now he's back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable, but charismatic, loose cannon.
NCIS, which is broadcast in the UK on Channel 5 and Fox UK, follows the exploits of the Naval Criminal Investigation Service. It's led by Special Agent Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon.
Executive producer Gary Glasberg said: "Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic NCIS role. Fans are going to see him like they've never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We're thrilled he's coming aboard."
Wilmer's other television credits include Minority Report, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Awake.
A star of a number of independent films, Wilmer was also seen in The Adderall Diaries opposite Amber Heard and James Franco. The movie premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.
