DJ Khaled wants to snapchat the birth of his son - if his fiancee says yes

DJ Khaled has revealed his plans to Snapchat the birth of his first child - if he can persuade his fiancee.

The US star is expecting a son with Nicole Tuck, and the social media star is hoping to take his Snapchat game to the next level.

He told Zane Lowe on Beats 1: "If they let me, well my girl probably gonna try and punch me in my face when I do it, but I'm thinking about Snapchatting the whole birth.

"I just think the next young king, icon needs to be documented. My son is gonna be born an icon, he a don. He's special cloth for real."

He added: "When I see my woman's belly there's times I have tears come out my eyes because I look at her super different in a good way because my son is in there.

"One thing I can tell you I am going to dedicate my whole life to giving my son joy. I'm giving him everything and I'm not gonna stop. I don't believe you have to put limits on joy. I've been wanting this for a long time."

Khaled, who has supported Beyonce on her Formation World Tour, is one of the biggest celebrities on Snapchat, gaining fame by delivering Keys to Success - his weird-but-wonderful life advice.

He told Zane: "Snapchat has put an antenna on my life. A lot of people that know Khaled throughout the ten years know Khaled for number one anthems and they see him in the video with some chains on and some Jordan's on.

"But do they really know him? Nah, I realized they didn't. I just being me."

DJ Khaled also has no problem with self-worth.

"You know my name is Khaled Khaled," he said. "My first and last name is the same. I'm special cloth. It's okay to be honest, it's not being cocky, it's not being arrogant, I'm rare breed. I'm one of one."

The US artist's new album Major Key features collaborations with artists including Jay Z, Future, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Drake - and Kanye West.

Recalling that phone call from Kanye about their collaboration, he said: "There's somebody I haven't told anyone about, but me and Kanye we on the phone and he confirmed with me saying: 'Khaled I'm down. I'm ready to get on a joint.'"
