Fans just can't get enough of The Durrells


Another Sunday night and another love fest for The Durrells.

The ITV series about a single mum who moves her four children from England to Corfu, which is based on Gerald Durrell's memoirs, drew 6.4 million people on its opening night and has continued to charm viewers with its magical take on life in the 30s.

The third instalment, which saw Gerry befriend a mysterious convict, was no different.

The Durrells was trending on Twitter and the majority of fans had logged on to share their fond thoughts on the series.

Star Keeley Hawes is winning her share of the praise, with fans both enjoying her stellar acting and feeling for her character, single mother Louisa Durrell.

And she is clearly thrilled that The Durrells is getting a resounding thumbs up.

Of course you can't please everyone.

Those that do love The Durrells are in luck, as it was recently announced that it will be back for a second series.
