Wicked star Idina Menzel has hailed Britain's Got Talent contestant Beau Dermott for her rendition of Defying Gravity.
Idina posted a message to the 12-year-old on Twitter, saying her version of the song had produced "chills".
The New York-born star also included Britain's Got Talent (BGT) judge Amanda Holden in the tweet.
Idina, best known now for performing Oscar-winning song Let It Go from Disney's Frozen, had premiered Defying Gravity in the original US production of Wicked in 2003.
The role of Elphaba in the Stephen Schwartz show won her a Tony in 2004 for best actress in a musical.
In last Saturday's first episode of the new series, musical theatre fan Beau won a standing ovation from the audience and judging panel.
Amanda was so impressed, she hit the Golden Buzzer and sent Beau, from Widnes, straight through to the live shows.
"That is one of the most difficult songs, I think, to sing. And you just sold it to us," she told Beau.
During his critique, Simon Cowell said: "I like the way you came up here and just mugged all of us like, 'Yeah, I'm really nervous'. But that's how you do it."
Alesha Dixon added: "You are fantastic."
"Everyone else might as well just go home," David Walliams joked.
Beau, who attends a local performing arts school, has spoken of her hope of a recording career.
