Britain's Got Talent 2016: Jack Higgins had a Billy Elliot moment and made everyone cry

Jack Higgins from Liverpool evoked the plot of Billy Elliot with his appearance in Saturday's episode of Britain's Got Talent.

Like the character Jamie Bell plays in the award-winning movie, the 14-year-old has a love of ballet, but it has made him the target of bullies.

"When I started ballet, people were calling me names ... I was getting really upset, but dancing, it just makes me feel happy," he said before his audition.

There were tears as Jack, who performed a ballet routine to Say Something by A Great Big World, talked about the abuse he has endured.

"You know the one thing bullies don't like? They don't like it when you do well," Simon Cowell said as Jack was awarded four yeses.

Fans of the show who posted on Twitter simply could not keep their emotions in check.

We love you, Jack!
