Being a dog owner has its highs and its lows. And no matter how much you love them, sometimes your dogs are going to do things that will make you shake your head. Like one dog owner who must've been rolling her eyes when she saw that not one but all four of her Bulldogs couldn't figure out how to get back inside the house.

It's a good thing these guys are cute because they couldn't figure out this whole door thing.

Shared by the dog owner @megans_angels, it shows all four Bulldogs waiting eagerly by a glass door for their mama to let them in. But um...well....

"They're really not the brightest of sparks," the mom said from the other side. "There's a door that is open six foot to the right of them so that they can come into the house, but no. They sit there looking at me to let them in," she added.

We guess that at some point one of the dogs learned about the door because eventually they got back inside.

"Congratulations! You used the other door," the mom teased.

The sarcasm wasn't lost on the comments section, who couldn't stop cracking up. "It’s like they’re all sharing a brain cell," joked one commenter. "They would not survive in the wild for one single day," someone else kidded. "Such a Bulldog thing! Little cuties but critical thinking is not a strength they possess," added one commenter. "You don't need brains with those looks!" someone else joked.

Dogs That Aren’t Smart

Now we are not ones for judging. Every dog is perfect in our books. But it seems like people only want smart dogs — dogs that are clever and would totally know that there was an open door slightly to their right. But what about the dogs that are... less than smart. They need love too, right? These sweeties deserve good homes just as much as the smart dogs. They just might need a little more help.

Basset Hounds are positively adorable, but smart dogs they are not. These dogs are governed by their noses, and while they are useful for hunters they aren't really interested in listening or helping others.

Mastiffs are gentle giants, but they aren't known for their intelligence. Beagles, Chow Chows, Pekingese, and Borzois are also not known for being smart. It should be said that these are pretty large generalizations. Dogs of any breed could or could not be intelligent, and intelligence is sometimes measured by how trainable a breed is.

So you see, these Bulldogs have nothing to feel bad about. They're in very good company.
