Dog Dad’s Attempt at Cooking With His Beagles Is the Cutest Chaos

If you've ever heard the phrase 'controlled chaos', I'm pretty sure if you searched for a photo of it, you'd find a picture of Beagles Kiki and Koko and their dad trying to cook a meal! Their dad enjoys preparing homecooked meals for the girls and even lets them help...although they always seem to be more of a hinderance!

Their dad shared a video at the end of April of all of them cooking chicken nuggets and fries, and it's a riot! The ingredients consist of oats, chicken, eggs, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes and the girls are excited to 'help' every step of the way. That man has more patience in his pinky than I have in my whole body!

I love watching their videos! Kiki and Koko are certainly a handful, and I got tired just watching this all go down! In a video they posted in March, dad made them a cake and claimed it was the most chaotic video they've ever recorded. After watching this one, I think he's got a new most chaotic video! Commenters had a lot of fun watching the video. I agree with the commenter who shared, "This is fast becoming my highlight of the week!" @rain got almost 600 likes for her comment, "The bowl on the dogs head that wins an Oscar!" @John Goddard ver2 added, "Uncivilized?? Never! Beagles just really like food, any food! LOL!"

Do Beagles Make Good Pets?

I've written about Kiki and Koko a few times now, and other than being adorable, I really don't know much about Beagles. So I decided to do a little research to see if they make good pets. Another Pet Helpful article shared 6 reasons why they are the best pets:

  1. Beagles are always happy.

  2. Beagles like to cuddle.

  3. Beagles love kids.

  4. Beagles are extremely intelligent.

  5. Beagles have low-maintenance coats.

  6. Beagles are exceptional hunters.

I'm sold! They sound like the perfect pet. But I know better than to just look at the good qualities that a dog breed has. If you're considering getting a new pup, you have to consider the good, the bad, and the ugly.

These six reasons are great reasons to consider a Beagle, but let's look at the cons. We know they're adorable, and cuddly and big lovers, but they are also noisy and love to bark and howl...as a matter of fact, IHeartDogs rates them as the Number 1 noisiest breed, even over Siberian Huskies! That reason alone is enough for me to pass on choosing a Beagle.

Like in the video, Beagles are notorious for stealing any and all food that they can get their hands on. They're known for being master food thieves! And thanks to their loose lips and low-hanging jowls, they're also big droolers. Potty training a Beagle can also be difficult.

If all of that isn't enough, Beagles have a natural musky scent that comes from their skin oils and sweat glands. This means you can expect lots of regular baths, grooming, and air fresheners...and from what I've read, their natural scent may still linger. After learning all of this, I'm pretty sure that a Beagle wouldn't be the right fit for my family.
