Danniella Westbrook is penning her life story and has vowed not to hold back, saying it's "time for other people to own their part" in her story.

The former EastEnders actor told her fans on Instagram that the book would be "everything from child abuse to child star to addict to mother to right now".

"The people who broken me (sic), lied to me, sold me out and left my son and I for dead will not be left out of my new book," she insisted.

Westbrook – who has faced addiction struggles in the past - said she hoped that her book would help other people who have lived through similar things as her.

"It's time for other people to own their part of the good times and bad in my life," she said.

"I will no longer be the keeper of anyone's secrets, I am and will heal all trauma, and at times, people know the truth about others."

The star, 49, found fame playing Walford’s Sam Mitchell in 1990.

Her struggles with cocaine addiction were widely publicised in the tabloids throughout the 1990s and 2000s and the star said in 2019 that she was just one relapse away from dying.
