Cute Corgi Is Totally Mystified as to Where the Grass Went After Snowfall

Does your dog like to play in the snow? Some dogs love it while others hate it. Ellie is a Corgi who lives in Canada where it's still snowing even though we are coming to the end of March. Her mom shared a video of her reaction to waking up to snow when just the day before there had been grass everywhere, and it's really cute!

Mom shared the video on Thursday, March 21st and while it's only 10 seconds long, it'll make you smile. Mom was inside the house and sent Ellie out (probably to go to the bathroom) and the look of confusion on her face is the best; make sure the sound is on because it makes it even funnier!

She couldn't figure out where the grass went since it was just there the last time she went out! I'll admit that Corgis do have very short legs, but the snow is at least a few inches deep, and it doesn't appear that Ellie's a big fan. One of Ellie's commenters said, "This is why I was randomly freezing with my window open?! I thought snow was gone!" @GDeziel18 agreed, "I’m with you Ellie, I swear it was too!" and @Keeta6861 added, "Weather in Canada be like: “If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes it will be different” LOL!"

Pet Safety in the Cold & Snow

It's possible that this cute Corgi is one of those dogs who doesn't like the snow, especially having to go potty in it. If you're pet isn't a fan of the snow, getting them to go outside when it's ridiculously cold or when there is a lot of snow on the ground can get frustrating. But there are some ways to make it at least bearable for them. Here are some tips about keeping pets safe when they go out into the cold.

If your dog isn't a fan of going potty in inclement weather, you might want to teach them to use wee wee pads inside of the house or garage. Some dogs refuse to go if there's no grass around, so consider purchasing a fake patch of grass to place outside in a cleared off area or even inside if your pooch refuses to go out in the cold.

Once you get your pup back into the house, it's important to make sure that you dry it off immediately. Ice and snow can get stuck in their fur and paws, which can cause shivering as well as painful cracking and bleeding paws. Other things that can cause injuries are rock salt and other de-icers. Not only can they cause harm to paws, but they can potentially make pets sick if they're ingested.

I for one am looking forward to the warm spring days that are just on the horizon. I'm pretty sure that Ellie is too, and that she's over the cold and snow that winter always brings.
