Passenger slaps female flight attendant after she appears to hit him during ‘row over seats’
A male passenger was filmed slapping a female cabin crew member after she appeared to hit him in the face during a row on a Brussels Airlines flight.
Footage showed the man striking the supervisor following an argument in the aisle of the plane.
The man was then immediately tackled by a fellow passenger and other cabin crew.
The man was angered when his mum was allegedly involved in an altercation with two other passengers, according to Carmen Moore, who shot the video and posted it on Facebook.
The flight was travelling from Accra, Ghana, to Brussels, Belgium, on 11 March, when the incident happened.

In the video, the man can be heard shouting: “You don’t put your hands on me.”
He then threatened a flight attendant despite being told to “calm down”.
The dispute escalated when a cabin crew supervisor in a red jacket intervened.
The two of them argued before she hit him when he got close to her.
The passenger was then restrained by a member of the public.

Brussel Airlines said in a statement: “We can confirm that on the Brussels Airlines flight SN290 of 11 March from Accra (Ghana) to Brussels, a dispute took place between two passengers.
“Our cabin crew intervened to calm down the situation. After the unfortunate dispute involving several passengers, the passenger calmed down and apologised for his behaviour.
“We have spoken to the cabin crew as to see how we can prevent situations like these to escalate in the future.
“In recent years we have seen a rise in the number of unruly passengers on board. We therefore put additional efforts in training for our crew to cope with these difficult situations.”
