Coleen Rooney says Wagatha Christie was 'draining': 'It took time away from my life'

Coleen Rooney has admitted her Wagatha Christie court battle was “draining” and revealed she’s happy to be putting the whole saga behind her as she said: "It took time away from my personal life."
The wife of footballer Wayne was embroiled in a high-profile legal battle with Rebekah Vardy last year after she accused Vardy's Instagram account of leaking stories about her to the press.
Vardy, who is married to footy ace Jamie, denied the claim and sued Rooney for libel but lost the case.
Rooney – who has since told her story in a documentary, The Real Wagatha Story, and in her book My Account – opened up about it on This Morning where she made it clear it was time to move on.

“I feel good,” the star told hosts Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle as she joined them on the sofa.
“Like a massive cloud has been lifted.
"It was just a niggle there, when you just tried to forget about it, it was just constantly there… I've never been involved in a court case before and I would never wish it on my worst enemy.
"It was so draining. It was horrible. And it just took time away from my personal life and just being with the kids… it just drained me."
Rooney confessed that battling on with the case was tough at times.
“There were a few times where I thought, ‘I just want to get rid of this’ and I was so close to giving in, but I knew I was telling the truth so all I had to do was just battle on and keep telling my truth and hopefully it will come to that in the end, which it did,” she said.
“But it was a long journey.”
She said it was “fantastic” that the case went her way but added: “I was just so happy to get it all over with.”
She also said she took her time when it came to telling her story and that when she did, it felt as if the time was right.
“You hear people say what they think or what went on in their account or whatever, and it was my story to tell,” she said.
“I took my time, I don’t rush into things and it felt like the right time to do the documentary and also the book as well.”
When asked if she could have done things differently, Rooney said: “Maybe, but I’m not one for looking back.”
Asked if she hoped to put it all behind her now and move on, she replied: “Yes! Most definitely.”

In her book, Rooney opens up about her husband being unfaithful.
Explaining her decision to write about their ups and downs, she said: "I’ve had time to sit down and process it all and I wanted to tell my truth and also let people know who I am, the reasons behind my actions and thoughts.
"Obviously the relationship with Wayne has been hard over the years, but there’s always been love there so why give up on it?
"And why not see if you can work it out?
“People haven’t seen that because we’ve done that behind closed doors and it’s been a battle at times, it’s been hard.
"People only see what’s in the press, they don’t know what goes on in our life so it’s to explain that this is what’s happened - it was out there, we’ve dealt with it, and we’re moving on.”
